Calculation of the corrosion rate using computational tool Matlab

Use of the Matlab applied for corrosion monitoring, applicable to tanks, vessels, piping for NR-13 service and due to the risk of failure due to corrosion. With the objective of maintenance the availability of the active, worker safety and environment. Equipment inspection uses ultrasound for thickness control. The thickness / mass loss dimensions were simulated, comparing the corrosion rate with the standard. It was concluded that the tool can help in the calculation of the corrosion rate found in static equipment, facilitating the monitoring of equipment inspection.
