Análise de algumas espécies do gênero Anthurium (Araceae) com base em caracteres morfológicos

Abstract

The genus Anthurium is the largest of the Araceae family, but so far few systematic studies have been done. Among the described species, it is believed that at least 101 are endemic to Brazil, justifying the relevance of knowing and preserving this biodiversity. The present study aimed to demonstrate possible groupings of ten species, through a cladistic analysis, based on plant morphological data. A bibliographic research and technical visit to the Botanical Garden Plantarum was carried out in Nova Odessa, SP, where the species were randomly selected. The data were compiled in a table of the morphological characters, regarding the presence or absence, which generated a numerical matrix used in the PAST software. The Cluster Analysis was performed, and through Jaccard's similarity index, it generated a dendogram. The present study can contribute to the systematic analysis of the species and knowledge of the biodiversity of the species.

O gênero Anthurium é o maior da família Araceae, porém até o momento poucos estudos sistemáticos foram realizados. Dentre as espécies descritas, acredita-se que pelo menos 101 sejam endêmicas do Brasil, justificando a relevância de conhecer e preservar esta biodiversidade. O presente estudo teve por objetivo demonstrar possíveis agrupamentos de dez espécies, por meio de uma análise cladística, baseada em dados morfológicos vegetais. Foi realizada pesquisa bibliográfica e visita técnica ao Jardim Botânico Plantarum, em Nova Odessa-SP, onde as espécies foram escolhidas aleatoriamente. Os dados foram compilados em uma tabela dos caracteres morfológicos, quanto à presença ou ausência, a qual gerou uma matriz numérica utilizada no software PAST. Realizou-se a Análise de Cluster, e por meio do índice de similaridade de Jaccard gerou um dendograma. O presente estudo pode contribuir para a análise sistemática da espécie e conhecimento da biodiversidade da espécie.
