Análise da concentração de etanol em amostras de álcool comerciais por espectroscopia Raman

Raman spectroscopy was used to determine the concentration of ethanol in commercial alcohol samples. Samples of alcohol (liquid, gel, barbecue lighter) were obtained, and Raman spectra were obtained from them. A concentration curve of ethanol P.A. in water was used to obtain the ethanol concentrations in the alcohol samples. Raman spectroscopy was able to identify the concentration of ethanol in the commercial alcohol samples, and these samples presented less than 5% of difference in the concentration obtained versus the concentration reported in the label. Two samples of barbecue lighter presented lower concentrations than the label with error above 5%. The Raman technique is a tool of great potential for use in the industrial area.
