Child Vaccination: Autonomy of Will vs. Family Duty
Abstract: The will in the autonomy of parents or guardians, that show the exercise of the individual freedom regarding the refusal of childhood vaccination, can bring serious consequences and setbacks in relation to the victories achieved by medicine in the treatment and prevention of diseases. Non-submission to childhood vaccination may motivate the emergence or resurgence of diseases that were previously controlled. Estimating the worldwide reduction in child mortality, the World Health Organization (WHO) presents structured national vaccination programs. The study has been conducted through a literary review, aims to explore and demonstrate the need for vaccination among minors, albeit by state imposition.
