Comunidade de macroinvertebrados bentônicos em riachos de águas claras e de águas escuras de Mata Atlântica, Bertioga, SP

Abstract

Resumo: Macroinvertebrados bentônicos são importantes componentes da diversidade aquática, pois conectam diferentes níveis tróficos nos corpos d’água. Este estudo visa analisar esta comunidade em riachos de águas claras e escuras na região de Bertioga-SP. As amostragens foram feitas nos períodos seco e chuvoso (2016/17) em seis riachos. Riachos escuros apresentaram maiores diversidades e equitabilidade do que riachos claros em período seco. Chironomidae foi a Família mais representativa, com 1249 indivíduos (55,8%), e a única que ocorreu em todos os riachos e períodos. Os resultados indicaram interferência sazonal nas comunidades de macroinvertebrados bentônicos estudadas, independentemente de ser de águas claras ou escuras.

Community of benthic macroinvertebrates in clear and black water streams of the Atlantic Forest, Bertioga, SP

Abstract: Benthic macroinvertebrates are important components of aquatic diversity, as they connect different trophic levels in streams. This study aims to analyze this community in clear and black water streams in the region of Bertioga-SP. Samples were taken during the dry and rainy seasons (2016/17) in six streams. Black streams showed greater diversity and evenness than light streams in the dry period. Chironomidae was the most representative family, with 1249 individuals (55.8%), and the only one that occurred in all streams and periods. The results indicated seasonal interference in the studied benthic macroinvertebrate communities, regardless of being from clear or black waters.
