A Importância da Avaliação Física como Fator Condicionante à Intervenção do Profissional de Educação Física

Abstract

A avaliação física é uma competência do Profissional de Educação Física. Objetiva, a partir do respeito aos interesses e à individualidade, garantir segurança ao beneficiário e, consequentemente, ao destinatário. A saúde de modo geral não é estável o tempo todo, podendo sofrer inúmeras alterações e influenciar a prescrição do programa de treinamento. Contudo, firmou-se no consciente coletivo que a emissão de atestado médico teria o condão de declarar, de maneira absoluta, a aptidão à atividade física, bem como vige no Estado de São Paulo a Lei n.º 10.848/2001 que, determina seja respondido questionário de autoavaliação. Este artigo tem o objetivo de apresentar os fundamentos da avaliação física enquanto ferramenta condicionante à intervenção a ser realizada pelo Profissional de Educação Física, a fim de prescrever o programa de treinamento ao beneficiário em prol do desenvolvimento de sua saúde.

Physical assessment is a competence of the Physical Education Professional. It aims, based on respect for interests and individuality, to guarantee security to the beneficiary and, consequently, to the recipient. Health in general is not stable all the time, and can undergo numerous changes and influence the prescription of the training program. This article aims to present the fundamentals of physical assessment as a conditioning tool for the intervention to be carried out by the Physical Education Professional, in order to prescribe the training program to the beneficiary in favor of the development of their health.
