The collection also includes 50 ferns, 26 bryophytes, 24 macroscopic algae, and two gymnosperms a wood collection (with 174 copies), one fruit collection (50 individuals), a seeds collection (35 samples) and a small collection of macroscopic fungi (10 samples). The collections mainly represent the state: Amazon Forest; Cerrado; Riparian forests and coastal vegetation of São Luís Island. The samples come from, mostly, the State of Maranhão (70%), although there are in the collection representing the flora of 15 states of Brazil.
