Playfull learning for Ecology teaching

This article proposes a playful practice for Teaching Ecology through a didactic game on ecosystems, prepared by the research project "Understanding and learning from our port of Santos ecology" Program Graduate Sustainability of Ecosystems coastal (UNISANTA). This activity aims at entertaining aspects of regional integration on issues related to ecology and the application of recreational activities for attaching content to facilitate teaching. For each of the contents of Ecology Curriculum of Biology of São Paulo drew up a play activity, seeking to improve cognitive outcomes of students. This study explored the entire building process from a card game on terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, to the final stage of applicability of these materials in the classroom. Initially literature searches were performed for choosing indicators playful practice which would be more suitable for thematic ecosystems. After choosing the card game and its production, they were applied along the sample classes comprised students of 1st year of high school public school "E. E. President Tancredo Neves "in the city of Guaruja, Brazil, in order to prove the benefits of applying this teaching strategy, the partial results indicated a better use in the evaluation of treatment groups that used the proposed game, compared to the control group that did not used the game. These results serve as an indicator that the use of recreational games and more contextualized reality of students, makes a significant difference in learning.
