BULLYING E CYBERBULLYING: A relação com o suicídio na adolescência e suas implicações penais

Abstract

O suicídio atinge todas as faixas de idade. O tema ganha alta relevância nos dias atuais, em que se tem verificado significativo aumento da prática de suicídio entre crianças e adolescentes. Este artigo objetiva analisar o bullying e cyberbullying, duas das principais causas de ideação suicida. A partir da análise do tema em tela, pretende-se responder às seguintes questões: O suicídio na infância e na adolescência é um problema de saúde
pública? Quais são os fatores determinantes para a ocorrência de suícidio nessas faixas etárias? Quais as implicações legais, quanto à prática do suícidio por crianças e adolecentes?
Foi utilizada a metodologia de pesquisa exploratória bibliográfica e de artigos científicos nas áreas da Medicina e do Direito, realizada em sites de busca de artigos especializados, tais
como Pubmed e outros. A pesquisa concluiu que o suicídio entre crianças e adolescentes é um problema de saúde pública, que demanda atenção, e que a ideação suicída tem como
componentes estimuladores, em muitos casos, o bullying e o cyberbullying, sendo que o agente causador destes somente é severamente apenado, quando induz ou instiga a prática
do suícidio.

Suicide strikes all age groups. This topic is highly relevant today, as there has been a significant increase in the number of acts of suicide among children and adolescents. The article, based on the authors' research, analyses bullying and cyberbullying, two of the main causes of suicidal thoughts. Based on analysis of the
theme of suicide in childhood and adolescence, a study of the causes indicated above addressed the following questions: Will suicide in childhood and adolescence become a public health concern? What are the determining factors for the occurrence of suicide in these age groups? What are the legal implications regarding the act of suicide by children and adolescents? We used the exploratory bibliographical research methodology and scientific articles in the fields of medicine and law, carried out using search engines for specialised articles such as Pubmed, among others. The research concluded that suicide among children and adolescents is a public health concern that demands attention and that bullying and cyberbullying are stimulating components for suicidal thoughts, with the agent responsible for the bullying and cyberbullying only being harshly punished when that bullying and cyberbullying incites or leads to the act of suicide
