REPERCUSSÕES PSIQUIÁTRICAS DA CATÁSTROFE ANUNCIADA DE BRUMADINHO: A COMPLEXIDADE DOS DANOS AMBIENTAIS DIFUSOS EINDIVIDUAIS.PSYCHIATRIC REPERCUSSIONS OF BRUMADINHO'S ANNOUNCED CATASTROPHE: THE COMPLEXITY OF DIFFUSE AND INDIVIDUALENVIRONMENTAL DAMAGES.

Abstract

RESUMO: Em 25 de janeiro de 2019, no município de Brumadinho, estado de MinasGerais, ocorreu o rompimento da barragem da mina Córrego do Feijão, ocasião naqual a lama varreu a comunidade local, bem como parte do centro administrativo daempresa Vale S.A. A tragédia causou centenas de mortos, incalculáveis danos à flora, à fauna, ao solo, ao ar e às águas, desconhecendo-se o tempo que será necessáriopara a recuperação do meio ambiente atingido. Sabe-se que no rastro da lama virãonovas situações de saúde deletérias, tais como doenças respiratórias, dermatológicas, gastrointestinais etc, devido ao contato com o material tóxico trazidopelos rejeitos. E não se deve olvidar que a perda de pessoas e locais de referência revela-se apta a causar reflexos negativos na higidez mental dos indivíduos,resultando no surgimento de doenças psiquiátricas, como a depressão, que costumaeclodir meses após a ocorrência do evento danoso. Abordar os prejuízos materiais eextrapatrimoniais decorrentes do desastre, mas realçando os danos psíquicossofridos pelas vítimas, constitui o objetivo maior deste trabalho.

ABSTRACT: On January 25, 2019, in the municipality of Brumadinho, State of MinasGerais, the Córrego do Feijão mine dam ruptured, the occasion when the mud sweptthrough the local community as well as part of Vale S.A.'s administrative center. Thetragedy caused hundreds of deaths, incalculable damage to flora, fauna, soil, air, andwater, and it is not known how long it will take to recover the affected environment. Itis known that in the mud vestige new deleterious health situations will come, such asrespiratory, dermatological, gastrointestinal diseases, and so on, due to contact withthe toxic material brought by the tailings. And it could not be forgotten that the loss ofpeople and places of reference can cause negative reflections on the mental health of individuals, resulting in the appearance of psychiatric illnesses, such as depression,which usually show up months after the occurrence of the harmful event. Addressingthe material and moral damages resulting from the disaster, but enhancing thepsychological damage suffered by the victims, it constitutes the main objective of this work.
