Modeling in MATLAB to determine Performance of a Centrifugal Pump

Abstract: Centrifugal pumps are used to transform mechanical energy into hydraulic energy. The pump performance can be determined by relating the net power, this being directly influenced by the flow provided, the shaft power supplied by the engine and the manufacturer characteristics. This paper proposes a computer modeling for determining the performance of the centrifugal pump, such as computational resource using MATLAB via scripts, in order to make more accurate calculations and insertion friendly mode data. As a result of the proposed model was created two trials validating the tool developed satisfactorily and accurately.
