Abstract
The purpose of this article is to explain the importance of credit analysis at the time of grant, and what are the implications for financial institutions of a poorly analyzed credit. Emphasis was placed on credit risk, since it addresses the main risk acquired by these institutions due to their activity. Another highlight is how a credit analysis is done and the size of the amount that is accurately made, reducing the effects of losses arising from the granting of credit. The impacts caused by poor credit granting, financial losses, provisioning, customer rating, operation and delay are also discussed in this article, which ends by demonstrating that the bad concession can jeopardize a credit portfolio, directly impacting the result Financial institution.
