Abstract
The objective of the “Quem Cuida Recolhe” project is to guide and raise awareness among Santos society regarding the negative environmental impacts resulting from the non-collection and inadequate disposal of domestic animal waste, through Socio-Environmental Education campaigns within the scope of non-formal education and application of questionnaires aimed at the resident and floating population of the municipality of Santos, in particular, guardians and pet walkers. At the same time, other data will be collected through a checklist to diagnose the areas of activity, aiming to direct actions. It is expected that action research will contribute to the conservation of water resources, reduction of diffuse pollution, improvement of the hygienic conditions of public roads and protection of life.
