PSYCHOSOCIAL CARE IN SANTOS AND GUARUJÁ: OBSERVED DEMANDS AND PERSPECTIVES FOR INTERVENTION
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study analyzes practices and demands in two Psychosocial Care Centers (CAPS) in the Baixada Santista region: Vila (Santos) and AD (Guarujá). The qualitative research included participant observation in the first semester of 2025 and the beginning of collective interventions from August onwards. Potentialities were identified, such as interdisciplinary work and qualified listening, and limitations, such as structural precariousness and lack of resources. The shortage of therapeutic groups emerged as a recurring demand. In response, an art workshop and support groups were initiated at CAPS Vila, and the existing harm reduction group at CAPS AD was reinforced. Partial findings highlight the relevance of collective practices in promoting mental health and strengthening psychosocial care
