BLUE TECHNOLOGY: THE ECOSEA DIGITAL PLATFORM AS A SUSTAINABLE TOOL IN THE OCEAN CONSERVATION PROCESS – AN ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION APPROACH
Main Article Content
Abstract
Marine pollution is one of today's greatest environmental challenges, directly affecting ocean ecosystems and human health. This study analyzes the main causes of contamination in the Pacific, Atlantic, Indian, and Arctic oceans, addressing factors such as plastics, heavy metals, sewage, and global warming. Based on this diagnosis, the EcoSea project is proposed, an initiative that combines technology, environmental education, and ecological rewards to encourage proper waste disposal on the beaches of Baixada Santista. The methodology is based on bibliographic research and data analysis on coastal pollution, in addition to the design of an app-based scoring system. The results obtained and expected include reduced marine litter, greater community engagement, and the strengthening of a sustainable culture. The conclusion is that small actions can generate large impacts on ocean preservation
