Abstract

This study consists of a temporal evaluation of the number of trees in the streets of (São Paulo, Brazil), between 2004 and 2014. For this, satellite images of the local trees were confronted to this period. We conclude that in ten years 100 species have been removed from the streets of the neighborhood and that large stretches of sidewalks are without trees. The street with the greatest loss of trees was Tolentino Filgueiras (nine trees).
