Abstract

Soccer is considered a sports modality that demands of the players, besides, technical and tactical conditions, different forms of expression of the physical aptitude, mainly the muscular force. Aiming to analyze the peak torque and the agonist and antagonist relationship among professional soccer players in the U-23 category. We evaluated 24 professional players from a club linked to the Paulista Football Federation where they performed anthropometric measures, bioimpedance and isokinetic dynamometry. As a result Mean and standard deviation: 53.4 ± 6.27 (LD) and 51.1 ± 6.01 (NLD). There was a small deficit in the agonist / antagonist relationship in the average of the athletes and it was demonstrated that the defenders present a larger deficit than the other positions.
