Abstract

The aim of this study is to evaluate the influence of technology use and physical activity level on children's nutritional status. The sample consisted of 56 children, 24 female and 32 male. The anthropometric measurements evaluated were: body mass (weight) and height for the calculation of Body Mass Index (BMI) and triceps and calf skinfolds for body fat percentage calculation. It included a questionnaire about the type of physical activity practiced and the time spent weekly during this practice, and the time spent in other activities such as television, computer and games, in order to evaluate other influences on the body composition of children, besides questionnaire on eating habits.
