Abstract

This paper presents the application of some concepts of MFEP (elasto plastic fracture mechanics), using the integral J and CTOD (d), in a case of real failure occurred in a pipeline through streess corrosion cracking. In this case, sigma-flow / Folias factor was used to describe the probable crack behavior during duct failure.
