Abstract

 This paper evaluates the results obtained by treatment and destination programs given to waste tires in Brazil, Portugal, Spain and France. The programs determine specific actions for the treatment and disposal of waste tires in order to reduce the environmental impact. A research carried out after the content analysis considers the results achieved in the last biennium in the four countries cited, where it was possible to determine which collection and removal programs for unserviceable units, if shown to be superior to the generation of new unserviceable units. Whit this framework and maintaining a relationship between the total of new units produced and the overall performance index of collection of waste units, terms or existing environmental and activities used, in the medium-term reversal process.
