Mapping of Permeable areas in Residential Urban lots using a low Resolution Imaging Methodology Ricardo Patricio Ferreira, Roberta Faraco Fantaccini

Abstract

This paper presents and discusses the need for permeable areas in residential urban lots of Cubatão/SP. Low resolution images were used (the city ​​still does not have high definition images), which may not provide exact numbers in the presentation of the subject. The study was prepared according to the Land Use Act (Law 2513 of 1998 [1]) and the Municipal Construction Code (Law 2514 of 1998 [2]) in the year of 2011. The results obtained serve as a basis for a superficial analysis of the permeable areas from the neighborhood. Based on this study it was found that the region suffers from the lack of permeable areas and, in this context, solutions used in other cities suffering from the same problem were presented.
