Abstract
This research aims to analyze and expand the knowledge about the growing feminization of teaching, the historical trajectory and implications in teaching practice relating to the bibliographies and the authors' perceptions about the close relationship between education, society and work, verifying the stereotypes that define social roles. The researched sources made it possible to identify a certain financial autonomy and the valuation of the woman's condition as a professional.
