Abstract

The incorrect disposal of solid waste and its consequent impact are directly related, in large part, to the lack of information from the final consumer, as well as to failures in industrial processes that result in the excessive production of waste which is incorrectly disposed of in the environment. . The present work analyzes the erroneous destination of solid waste, contributing with the theme from the study on the role of reverse logistics, as well as on the possibilities and environmental impact of the reuse of solid waste. To this end, four methods were presented for the disposal of solid waste, chosen because of their specificity linked to costeffectiveness in the treatment of solid waste disposal.
