Abstract

This article seeks to carry out a brief case study, following a bibliographical analysis of the institutes of civil interdiction and compulsory internment, based on the application of these institutes in the case of national repercussion that occurred in the city of Embu-Guaçu / SP, known as the "Champinha Case", seeking to understand the legal possibility of applying the institutes in this specific case and, in the end, inductively analyze the possible moment of Champinha's disinternment.
