Study of Fines Entrainment in Rotary Kilns applied in the Calcination of Green Petroleum Coke for the Production of Calcined Petroleum Coke: Literature Review Luiz Roberto de Oliveira, Edinaldo Pereira da Silva
Main Article Content
Abstract
A systematic review was conducted on the CAPES, SciELO, Web of Science, and Research Gate portals, analyzing 50 articles, 2 doctoral thesis, and 2 master’s dissertations on the calcination of green petroleum coke in rotary kilns. The research focused on kiln operation, coke processing, and aspects of health, safety, and environmental impact. The goal is to create a scientific foundation for an experimental study of fine entrainment in rotary kilns, which produces calcined petroleum coke used in the production of carbon anodes essential for aluminum production.
