Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of performance indicators as decision-making support tools within the context of project management. Given the increasing complexity of organizational environments, it is essential to adopt mechanisms that enable accurate, agile, and strategic information analysis. Through a literature review, it was identified that indicators allow for the measurement of results, monitoring of activities, identification of failures, and anticipation of risks, significantly contributing to more assertive decisions. Furthermore, indicators promote alignment between operational and strategic goals, strengthening a data-driven management culture. The literature also highlights the importance of integrating indicators with technologies such as Business Intelligence (BI), which enhance real-time data analysis. It is concluded that the adoption of well-structured indicators increases the maturity level of management, making processes more efficient and decisions more evidence-based.
