Abstract

This article investigates the complex relationship between the principle of individual autonomy and situations of vulnerability in the context of human organ transplantation and trafficking. How is the exercise of self-determination affected by socioeconomic pressures and conditions of fragility? What are the limits of autonomy when confronted with human dignity? And how is the prohibition of organ trafficking justified not only as individual protection but as a safeguard of a fundamental community value? The discussion delves into these questions, analyzing the ethical and legal implications.
