Abstract
Professional practice is situated in the social relations of production of society and, therefore, inserted in a historically determined dimension, constituting an expression of it. Professional practice is made and remade through the social and institutional relationships that permeate it and give it social legitimacy. Technological advances in contemporary life require new acquisitions in professional practice and in this context there is a need for research that proves the effectiveness of current interventions, making them more reliable. The systematization of daily professional practice, using scientific methodology, is necessary to review and define new theoretical and methodological contributions. This work seeks to demonstrate that research must be one of the bridges between knowledge and professional practice.
